Ironically, the true historical past of India has been concocted, doctored and distorted to suit a particular political and ideological leaning. In the pre-independence era, this work was done by a coterie of Evangelist-Macaulayian historians which was further evolved by the Nehruvian-Leftist historians who distorted the rich Indian history to suit their own prejudices.
